There are so many suffixes in English language which makes it impossible for us to analyze all of them but we will take a look at those that are common and can be applied to a large number of stems to make new words.
Stress within complex words in English | Introduction
Complex words are words composed of two or more grammatical units. So, for example, the word “speech” is a simple word, because it is composed of a single grammatical unit, but the words “speechless” and “speechlessness” are complex words being composed of two and respectively three grammatical units each.
Stress within complex words in English | Compound words
The main characteristic of a compound word is that it can be divided into two words, both of them can exist independently as English words (example: sunrise – it is formed from “sun” + “rise”). Of course, there are compound words that are made of more than two words.

Stages of a situational/dialogue presentation for an ESL/EFL PPP lesson

A good lesson plan should have a logical sequence of its stages. This avoids creating confusion among the learners. Speaking practice in pairs or groups in ESL/EFL classroom
Everybody says that pair work and group work are among the best approaches when it comes to speaking practice in an ESL/EFL classroom. I totally agree if we would live in a perfect world, but we don’t. When it comes to speaking practice one of the advantages of pair work (or group work) in an ESL/EFL classroom is that students feel more comfortable speaking to each other than speaking with the teacher. Definitely, it is a very effective way of practicing speaking skills.
